What is Dubai chocolate?
The original was created in Dubai by Fix Dessert Chocolatier. Its bar, first sold in 2022, filled milk chocolate with pistachio cream and kadayif, the shredded pastry used in kunafa. In 2024 it went viral, largely through creators filming that first crunchy bite, and versions of it soon appeared around the world (Wikipedia).
The trend in India
The craze has been just as strong here. Quick-commerce data released for World Chocolate Day 2026 showed Dubai chocolate orders up more than 11,000% year on year, the fastest-growing chocolate trend on the platform (Siasat, July 2026). Industry trackers also reported the trend still booming at Europe’s ISM sweets fair in 2026 (Innova Market Insights).
